Available Position: Store Manager

We’re sad to be losing our amazing manager, Kaylee, but are preparing for her departure by interviewing for this position. We will be accepting applications through April 28th, with the first interviews expected to be conducted no later than May 5th. The position will officially start in June.

The  store manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the store, including sales, customer experience, staff leadership and scheduling, merchandising and display, social media, and computer admin. This is a critical role in our organization, as the manager sets the tone for customer experience and staff engagement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the overall appearance of the shop with an eye for merchandising new arrivals
  • Overseeing, coaching, training, scheduling and hiring employees
  • Providing excellent customer service, both in person and online
  • Receiving, processing, and shipping online orders
  • Advising on purchasing by assessing current trends and customer needs
  • Ensuring that all merchandise is entered correctly into our system
  • Taking product/store photos and captioning them in a manner consistent with our brand identity for social media
  • Managing all controllable costs with a view to maintaining profitability.
  • Receiving product deliveries in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and presentable store at all times
  • Assisting with and prep for any in-store events

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about the products we carry - and digs our vibe!  Well qualified candidates have a background (2+ years) in retail management (or similar customer service related management experience), thrive in a busy environment, and are outgoing, friendly, level-headed, detail oriented, and organized.  Familiarity with design tools such as Canva and Cricut are preferred but not required. Bonus points if you have a great sense of humor!

This position offers 30-35 flexible hours per week (paid at an hourly rate), which will vary based on operating hours and staff availability.  The manager is ultimately responsible for making sure the store is staffed appropriately during the 7 days a week we are open, so your schedule will include a combination of weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, please send your resume plus a cover letter (make sure to tell us what you love about the store and why this position would be a great fit) to us at hiring@pinkmoonmercantile.com (subject line: store manager).  Thank you so much, and we look forward to hearing from you!
